I’ve been a writer for more than a decade, I’ve been published in plenty of magazines and newspapers, and I have two non-fiction books on the market. Now, though, with my first paranormal romance debuting next month, I feel like I’m standing on the edge of a cliff. And I really, really hope my parachute works.
I’m not sure why this go-round feels so different. Yes, I was supremely excited about the launch of my first book, Georgia Spirits and Specters. I think, somehow, that jumping into the fiction market is giving me a bit of stage fright. Non-fiction is one thing: I’m just telling stories. In fiction, I’m telling the stories that came from my head. It feels more personal.
“Ghost of a Threat,” book one of the Betty Boo, Ghost Hunter paranormal romance series, debuts next month. The first book in my young adult steampunk trilogy will follow in November, and I recently completed the first draft of “Ghost of a Whisper,” book two in the Betty Boo series.
